Krystal Mack

Krystal Mack is an interdisciplinary artist who approaches comestibles, their creation, and experiences centered on them, as tools for social change. Viewing food through the lenses of sociology and decolonization allows Krystal’s work to juxtapose cultural exchange and storytelling with systemic power and oppression, self-care with blind self-destruction, and womanism with feminism. Her recent work has focused on community building and collective healing during the COVID-19 pandemic through participation in digital art festivals like @PalmHeightsGC One Day On Earth presentation and her @Absence.Of e-guide How To Take Care, a digital publication that has raised over $7,000 for organizations supporting victims of domestic and intimate partner violence around the world.
