Savannah Faith Jackson

ARtist-in-residence / OCTOBER 8 - december 16, 2025

Savannah Faith Jackson is an artist born and raised in Washington, DC. Her artistic practice exists at the intersection of photography, installation, and assemblage and thematically is concerned with concepts of ritual, beauty, and memory specifically as they pertain to her identity as a Black woman in the United States. Materiality is used throughout Jackson’s work as a means to address the idea of home as well as her Gullah Geechee heritage. Through her work, Jackson is committed not only to reflecting on her own experiences but honoring the stories of artists who inspire her such as Betye Saar and Ntozake Shange. Jackson is also an educator who is dedicated to bringing arts education to artists of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.

Jackson graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the arts in 2023 with a BFA in Photography & Imaging and is currently a masters candidate at Cranbrook Academy of Art where she holds a Gilbert Fellowship. Jackson’s work has been included in several exhibitions across the United States as well as featured in multiple publications.
