Asha Elana Casey is an educator, and contemporary painter and mixed-media artist, born and raised in Washington, DC, currently living in Maryland. She began her artistic training at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC where she is currently on faculty and is a graduate of the Corcoran School of Art and Design at George Washington University.

Of her works, Casey writes: “My work exemplifies the African American God-self, the spirituality of nature, and the work of her ancestors. Each artwork acts as a story rendering spiritual history and conceptions of godliness.”
