Terence Washington

Terence Washington is The Nicholson Project’s Guest Curator for May - July 2022, working with Artist-in-Residence, Taylor Johnson.
Terence Washington is an educator and writer currently working as a guest curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where he co-curated the Philip Guston Now exhibition. He previously worked as Program Director at NXTHVN, a residency and gallery space in New Haven, Connecticut. From 2017 to 2020 he worked in the public programs division at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, and, in 2019, he curated The Black Overlay at the DC Arts Center with Holly Bass and Sherman Fleming. Washington’s publications include forthcoming essays on the work of Kevin Beasley and Holly Lynton as well as contributions to photobooks by Zora J. Murff and catalogue texts for The Studio Museum in Harlem and the Clark Art Institute. He completed his master’s degree in art history at Williams College.
